Refund & Cancellation Policy

Effective Date: 27-06-2026

At Sukham Yatra, every group tour requires advance planning, including transportation, hotel reservations, meals, permits, and coordination with multiple travel partners. Because many of these arrangements involve non-recoverable commitments, this Refund & Cancellation Policy explains how cancellations and refunds are handled.

1. Cancellation by the Traveller

All cancellation requests must be submitted in writing through email or WhatsApp from the registered contact number.

The date on which Sukham Yatra receives the cancellation request will be treated as the official cancellation date.

2. Cancellation Charges

Unless otherwise specified for a particular tour, the following policy generally applies:

  • More than 30 days before departure: Refund after deduction of applicable processing charges and any non-recoverable expenses already incurred.
  • 15–30 days before departure: Partial refund may be available after deducting confirmed supplier charges and administrative costs.
  • Less than 15 days before departure: Refunds are generally not available because transportation, accommodation, and other travel arrangements are usually finalized and paid in advance.

Certain tours may have different cancellation terms. Where applicable, those terms will be communicated before booking confirmation.

3. Non-Refundable Expenses

The following expenses may be non-refundable once incurred:

  • Hotel reservation charges.
  • Transportation booking charges.
  • Government fees or permits.
  • Third-party activity bookings.
  • Payment gateway or banking charges.
  • Taxes or statutory charges where applicable.
  • Any amount already paid to suppliers on your behalf.

4. No Show

If a traveller does not report at the designated departure point or chooses to leave the tour after it has commenced, no refund shall ordinarily be payable for unused services.

5. Transfer of Booking

Requests to transfer a booking to another person may be considered before departure, subject to operational feasibility, supplier rules, and any additional costs. Sukham Yatra is under no obligation to approve such requests.

6. Changes Requested by the Traveller

Requests to change travel dates, passenger details, or tour selections will be considered based on availability and may result in additional charges. Approval is not guaranteed.

7. Cancellation or Modification by Sukham Yatra

Although uncommon, Sukham Yatra may cancel, postpone, or modify a tour due to circumstances such as:

  • Severe weather.
  • Road closures.
  • Landslides or natural disasters.
  • Government restrictions.
  • Public safety concerns.
  • Insufficient minimum group size.
  • Operational issues beyond our reasonable control.

Where practicable, customers may be offered one or more of the following:

  • Transfer to another departure date.
  • Credit toward a future tour.
  • A refund after deducting unavoidable costs already committed to third-party suppliers.

8. Refund Processing

Approved refunds are generally processed within 7 to 15 business days after all required verification is completed. The time taken for the amount to reflect in the customer’s account may vary depending on the payment method and financial institution.

9. Force Majeure

Sukham Yatra shall not be liable for delays, itinerary changes, cancellations, or additional expenses resulting from events beyond its reasonable control, including natural disasters, extreme weather, strikes, government actions, epidemics, civil disturbances, transportation disruptions, or similar unforeseen circumstances.

10. Our Approach

While this policy outlines the general terms applicable to cancellations and refunds, Sukham Yatra aims to act fairly and reasonably. Wherever operationally possible, we will make genuine efforts to assist travellers with suitable alternatives or practical solutions, keeping in mind our commitments to hotels, transport operators, and other travel partners.
